Postprocessor

Postprocessor allows for a clear and detailed visualization of Solver’s calculation result necessary for understanding and evaluating physics from various points of view including flow patterns, pressure and temperature distributions to name a few.

A wide range of visual expressions can be saved as images (*.bmp,*.jpg,*.png), animations (*.avi,*.wmv) or as a file for our free viewer “Cradle Viewer” enabling to not only gain insight into physical phenomena but also to share knowledge and facilitate discussions between designers and R&D engineers.

Pressure distribution of a turbo fan in a battery cooling duct analysis. Mesh can be checked as well.

Basic drawings

Figure1: Temperature distribution at a cross section of inside/outside a projector

Plane

A 2-dimensional representation of flow and temperature distributions. It helps to efficiently evaluate simulation results.

Figure 2: Surface pressure distribution of a turbo fan

Contour

A way to visualize pressure or temperature by colors.Figure 2 shows a pressure contour on a casing and blade surfaces in a turbo fan analysis. Contour can be plotted on a surface of a model or on an arbitrary 2-dimensional plane.

Figure 3: Oil flow in an aerodynamics analysis of a vehicle

Oil flow

A way to express a flow at the vicinity of an object surface in streak lines.Figure 3 shows an oil flow in an aerodynamics analysis of a vehicle. Flow at the surface of a vehicle is visualized. A detailed image can be represented in animations.

Figure 4: Behavior of water poured into a glass

Various drawing - Just like real water

A realistic representation is achieved by using Cradle’s Postprocessor to better understand analysis results. The animation showing how water is poured into a glass can be created with a few clicks.

Figure 5: An air flow by air conditioning in a vehicle

Volume rendering

A visualization technique to draw a scalar field for not only the surface but also the inside. Figure 5 shows an air flow from an air-conditioning in a vehicle. Result can be shown with depth.

Figure 6: Air flow from a projector

Streamlines

Figure 6 shows streamlines of a flow. It can also be an animation with streamlines drawn like particles or arrows.
