Free surface

Free surface function enables analyzing a dynamic movement pattern of liquid-gas/liquid-liquid interfaces.

Figure 1 simulates a behavior of a sloshing liquid in a tank. Estimation on pressure on wall surface and the center of gravity of liquid can be done efficiently in scFLOW.

This can also be used to analyze waves and gear oil for cooling.

Analysis of a flow around a marine vessel in standing water or around bridge piers can be performed. If all variables are expected to approach constant values after a certain time, choose steady-state method to obtain results fast. This figure shows a steady-state analysis result.
