Reynolds’ experiment

Reynolds’ experiment

The Reynolds‘ experiment is the experiment on transitioning of pipe flows conducted by a British physicist Osborne Reynolds in 1883.

In the experiment, flows were visualized by pouring a stream of ink into a pipe in which water flows. The result showed that the condition of flow is determined by Reynolds number.
