Thermo-fluid analysis, or thermal fluid analysis, is designed to evaluate and analyze the mechanisms of phenomena where motion of fluids and heat transfer occur. When focusing on motion of fluids only, it is called ‘fliud analysis’.

The word ‘analysis’ is not limited to numerical simulations. When used in the context of thermo-fluid analysis software, or thermal fluid analysis software, however, analysis refers to computational simulations of heat and flows.
