February 12, 2010/ -- Software Cradle announces the release of SCTprime.  SCTprime imports Parasolid (.x_t) or STEP (.stp) CAD data and converts it to MDL (SC/Tetra’s native model data format).  SC/Tetra is Cradle’s flagship unstructured grid CFD Software.  SCTprime is part of the SC/Tetra application family and an SC/Tetra license is required to launch SCTprime.  The addition of SCTprime enables SC/Tetra to read a Parasolid or STEP model and automatically convert it to SC/Tetra compatible geometry.  The output from SCTprime is sent to SCTpre (SC/Tetra’s pre-processor) for grid generation and assignment of material properties and boundary conditions.
