Software Cradle will hold its 2009 User Conference on October 16, 2009 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo, Japan.
This year's conference will feature a special lecture by Dr. Tsutomu Takagi, Assistant Professor, Department of Fisheries at the Kinki University
School of Agriculture, called Swimming Ability of Fish: A Biomechanical Approach. Dr. Takagi will discuss how computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is used to
understand the swimming biomechanics of blue fin tuna and flounder. Evaluating fish swimming ability is an important part of understanding their behavioral ecology
such as travel distance and migration routes.
