| New major functions to be implemented in next
scSTREAM series |
Software Cradle Co., Ltd.(Headquarters in Osaka, Japan,
President: Ichiro Komada), announces some of the major functions to be implemented in next
scSTREAM and Heat Designer.
Multi Block
scSTREAM
and Heat Designer have been using pure Cartesian coordinate
(Cylindrical coordinate is available with scSTREAM). However, it
has been pointed out that partially applying fine mesh to the
computational domain will increase the efficiency and convenience of
the simulation especially in simulating electronics cooling and the
HVAC system of a house or a building with the effect of surrounding
buildings.
Next version of scSTREAM and Heat Designer will be
equipped with multi-block for meshing where part of the computation
domain can be partially refined.

Importing Garber data
Current
version of scSTREAM and Heat Designer can apply constant thermal
conductance or anisotropic thermal conductance to consider different
material and/or the amount of wiring in PCB. However, the printed
circuit would crucially vary the thermal conductance of PCB at certain
spot. Therefore, the next version of scSTREAM series will be
equipped with the import function of Garber format (RS-274D) which is a
standard CAD format for PCB design so that better thermal prediction
can be achieved by considering the distribution of printed circuit.
