Architecture/Air conditioning

Study on room temperature variation to meet the design criteria

A general thermal load calculation for air conditioning provides bulk values for an entire building or room, but the local temperature or temperature distribution cannot be obtained. scSTREAM provides the temperature distribution in the room by performing 3D thermal-fluid analysis within the room.

Location of the air vents a building with a high ceiling is critical for controlling the room temperature distribution. The temperature distribution depends on where the air inlets are located. This example shows that the cold draft is controlled by installing the heating system underneath the window area and replacing the vents low on the wall near the floor.
