The Windows version of HEAT Designer can be controlled from an external program such as Visual Basic by using "Microsoft COM technology". From
software start-up and exit to each command controls, you can utilize "Microsoft COM technology" in many tasks. This enables you to improve operating efficiency by making the
process automatic, making your own menu and so on.
Application: Location of cooling fan
It is usually necessary to repeat similar calculations to
determine the best location of the fan, because the
temperature of the heated parts is influenced by where
the fan is located. Such troublesome procedures can be dramatically reduced by using
the macro function in HEAT Designer.
All that needs to be done is to specify the coordinates of the fan,
then click execute button. The pre-set macro will be
executed automatically. In this case, geometry modification,
mesh generation, condition setting, calculation, and creation of a report after the calculation of multiple cases are automatically executed.
